National tour launches Sept 2027

Where actions cause reactions.Enhancing climate education through gamification and immersive experiences.

An immersive climate experience travelling across Canada in an all-electric van. Inside the dome, you learn by playing: every choice you make in our games is reflected in real time on a 360° world around you — so you see the impact of your decisions on the environment as you make them.

01 — Game play

Learn by playing. See your impact in real time.

No lectures. No worksheets. Climate science becomes a game you play with your hands — and every decision is scored, tracked and projected live onto the dome around you. Electrify a city, and watch its emissions, air and wildlife respond the moment you act.

Playable now at Grey Roots
Electrify game start screen: a colourful isometric city with a “Start Game” button
  1. Start the game

Pick a station. Meet Greyville — a model Canadian city still running on coal and gas.

  2. Electrify the city

Swap plants for wind and solar, trade gas-guzzlers for EVs, solve Mission Gate puzzles to unlock upgrades.

  3. See the impact

The dome updates live as you play: cleaner skies, returning wildlife, a national and global impact meter climbing in real time. Bronze, silver or gold?

One lever. Nine games.

Electrification is the theme — and every game shows where it ripples next.

The theme

Electrification

The single most powerful lever for cutting emissions — and the one that pulls everything else with it. Clean power changes how we grow food, and how we grow food changes what can live on the land. Nine games follow that chain, one link at a time.

03 — Tour details

Coast to coast, north to south — no community too remote.

From September 2027, the dome rides a customized electric van to urban, rural and agricultural communities — 40 stops, about 300 young people at each. The trip itself is the lesson: electrification, in action, on Canadian roads.

04 — Team / About

From anxiety to agency.

Within Our Reach is a project of Opt2Refuture, a not-for-profit that pairs rigorous climate science with hope-based, hands-on learning — helping communities protect and revitalize Canada's environment and natural assets.

Eight in ten young Canadians say climate change affects their mental health. Rather than adding to that weight, the dome hands them the controls.

78%
